I love Nyepi. The Balinese celebrate the New Year in silence. No lights, no sounds, no everything . No traffics, of course. And airport and harbors are all closed. The Religious Hindu meditate while others like me simply join in the silence.
My family and I spent the Nyepi at my parents (in Denpasar. That’s definitely still in Bali, by the way). As on other vacations, I couldn’t help but grab a camera (whether it’s mine or not) every time I see something nice. And also every time I’m happy, knowing that photography is always still my hobby.

And this is what I call luck. As I found them, all ingredients of this photo were already on the table: The toy car, the glass surface, the paper bag of a cosmetic product (it even says “the cult of femininity”. It fits reversely to the car. Thank you, thank you….) serves as the background, and a nice light.
The toy car was Rere’s (my nephew). I love how it looks (by the way I collect toy cars –because I can’t afford collecting real ones-, new or with dents like this one), and I successfully traded it with a new toy car he can freely pick from a toy store today with me.
